This. Alves WAS a great RB. He contributed a shitload to the team IN THE PAST. He WAS the best RB in the world. People need to realize that the current Alves is not the Alves of 2009-2011.

Yeah he was probably our worst youngster last season. Now he's our best youngster. In fact, he's probably been our best CB this season. :lol:

Courtois is the better player and I'd definitely pick him if I had the choice, but since he'll probably be nearly impossible to get, I say go for Ter Stegen.

I'd pay it in a heartbeat if it were true. 99% sure it isn't though.

Plus, I shudder to think of what our management would do with the money if we sold him. He's arguably been one of our 5 best players so far this season (with Messi, Neymar, Cesc and Valdes). Easily our 2nd best winger (Neymar obviously being 1st). Selling him now would make no sense.

Even if he renews, we have a far better chance of getting him than Courtois.

IMO, he could be a perfect replacement for Pique if the latter keeps underperforming (if Bartra keeps performing like this). He's got a similar playing style. I didn't use to rate him too highly, or think he'd ever be starter material, but he's had a great season so far. Certainly better than...

I'd love him, but he'd be extremely difficult to get.

What the hell are Zubi and co waiting for? Forget about Reina and sign Stegen already (unless they're gonna sign both, which I'm fine with). Really hope the verbal agreement thing is true.
