I'm not sure how it works but if you lower your salary mass + amortization from 400 to 300 (just an example) it should probably create 100 mil to fill up again if you're in 1:1.

The FFP has already taken into account that the contracts of Lewa and others wont be there next season.

It is not that it gets to 1:1 now and then the players that leave for free at end of contract free up space.

The current FFP is calculated on the contract of the players being paid now and leaving in summer.

Yes and no. You get 1:1 if your total salary is below the cap. If we are not at 1:1 when lewas contract ends, we cannot spend this money on new transfer, if we get to 1:1 before the end of the season, we can spend the whole sum for new players. If Lewandowski helps to make the salary cap it would be 1:4

This "1:1" ratio is irrelevant; it simply means that if you are below the maximum cap, you can invest the full amount (or more) of an expiring contract. If you are above the cap, the ratio is 1:4.

Thats not true.

Lewa leaving at end of season makes no difference to FFP for next season or end of this.

It depends on what they mean for " 12M until 1:1" quote.

Does it mean current season just needs 12M for us to be at 1:1? Or we are 12M below being 1:1 next year.

I feel most interpreted it the former, but it might mean the later

Okay, now I understand. Lewandowski is no longer included in next year's salary cap, and we don't need a "1:1" ratio, but rather a free wage pool. So, does that mean this "1:1" ratio only applies if you sell or release players before their contracts expire? All this talk about this ratio is completely pointless as long as you don't sell any players with expensive contracts. But still, the total wage bill is decreasing by 20 million. However, since we had too much salary last year, it makes no difference?

Doubt JamDav is right, so we would already know of we are in good position or not.

Our revenue will be much better, wage bill will be lower with Lewa leaving, hope so same with Christensen.

What we would need is to sold one player that we can replace, like Araujo or Olmo, and we are good.

I would not mind selling Kounde also, he terrible whole season and also on big wage.

Ter Stegen and Araujo Hater
The match against Albaceste proves that we need a top class stricker. With that we would have scored more goals.

If anything, this feels like they won't count on Chris next year and are just doing the player and the agent a solid, giving him little assurance while he navigates through other offers

It depends on what kind of contract they'll be offering him. Knowing our club it won't be a lot less than he's getting now. The same with Lewa and Rashford.

We're not a charity, sign some young players who actually play instead of Christensen.

There is no way the performances of Christ or Lewa warrant renewal... but the club could do it if helps FFP in some way and decreases their salaries this season.

Would be very short sighted move though.

Lewandowski seems to already have a deal in Chicago and likely moving there. It isn't a done deal but very likely. I don't think it is even up to us, as we won't offer him big contract.

The club is rightfully waiting patiently to see how he perform at the end of the year, but I doubt he is waiting that long tbh.

Christensen is just about agent relationship and looking good to the players. iirc, he shares agency with Roony and new signing Hamza, the later whom the club pushed the player to hire in order to facilitate the deal.

It is always a question of numbers, and everyone will assume numbers based on how they perceive our board. I personally don't think it will be big contracts, and I am sure Stig expect it to be massive.

I already had it in mind that Lewy should continue at lower wages, if he is up for that. Especially if Vlahovic rumors are accurate, means Ferran could be indeed moved and that would mean Lewy as depth

Personally, I think he wants to stay here but lot of moving parts linked to what ultimately happens

That's true, I'm on the pessimistic side on those things. I don't really understand where you guys get the optimism about small wages offered by the club if you see that this club doesn't function like this for years or even decades. Everyone who comes here or extends gets a bigger salary that they had previously, why do you think it will be different now?
