Rashford is not a solid deal based on what we know so far. There is only one way it could be worth it, and that's him doing what he did to Villa in the big games in CL and the league. We don't need Rashford to win our games in the league vs mid table sides or bottom feeders.

If he ain't a supersub, we shouldn't even bother.

Rashford for 25-30m would be good business as he provides things others dont have and covers well for Raph.

The issue is what that would be at expense of in other areas couldnt bring players in.

He is the quickest player Barca have and the best from dead balls.

Importantly he is playing with no ego also and fits in the squad.

True.

We are also loosely linked to Dani Banjaqui (17) from Benfica, and Eduardo Conceiçã from Palmeiras but I can't see us getting either.

Banjaqui is arguably the highest rated RB prospect, he is compared to N. Mendes. 30M buyout clause, contract until 2027. Our interest is serious but Benfica is calling him to first team once our interst was established. Portuguese clubs rarely lose their talents that cheap. I think he will renew and get promoted to be the next 40M+ player.

Conceiçã is Palmeiras next jewel. Same age as Ajay Tavares, celebrated his 16th birthday last December. LW who is very good dribbler, finisher and is fairly explosive. Renewed with 100M buyout. Deco wants him but I think after Roque, the club won't risk such a spending on someone like that from Brazil

I want him bad. Imagine the speed with him and Balde .

30 million is a fucking steal. News flash: thats how much psg paid for Nuno.

This is a must signing Banjaqui!!!

Conceição we dont have to stress as maybe he can wait another year then that works better for us.

Sports planning for next season is being done without Robert Lewandowski. The goal is to sign a striker and a centre-back. The expectation is that FC Barcelona will operate under the 1:1 rule again this summer. [@FCBRAC1]
We always expect to operate under the 1:1 rule before every transfer window for a while now.

A bit of Laporta deception and Tebas bending rules again and again and it's always "next window". What impresses me the most every time is what a pit Rossell, Bartomeu and co. dug into our finances.

I expect us to be 1:1 rule but it will hardly matter.

Once you are 1:1 you still need to shed salary to make signings. And we need some expensive ones.

Yeah folk acting like 1 to 1 is normality it isnt.

It is just not as bad as previously.

Normality comes when Barca have money to spend each season without having to clear space first.

Of players to sell for me it would be Kounde, Araujo, Gerard, Casado.. then despite both being good possibly one of Olmo/Fermin if any big sale has to go through. Ferran if got offered enough and had a decent replacement or Raph if got a huge offer.

Lewa, Rashford and Christensen will clear out a lot of space, probably enough for 1 big signing and a couple of free ones if we're 1:1 but I think they'll extend them so no space.

It doesnt work like that.

None of them will clear any FFP currently space by going as not taken into account on next season or season after.

It just made it easier to get to 1:1 by them not being taken into account for next season.

We extended Christiansen already and let's wait and see what happens to Rashy. But Lewa is out and he's out biggest earner...

I'm not sure how it works but if you lower your salary mass + amortization from 400 to 300 (just an example) it should probably create 100 mil to fill up again if you're in 1:1.
