I believe Araujo should face the consequences of this. Stripped of captaincy and such. If the club treats him like some sick patient it will develop into a pattern every time Araujo shits on the pitch to crawl back to his safety zone "I'm depressed, the crowd hate me.". What that mental midget Andre Gomes did basically during his time at Barca.

The blame mainly lies with management for renewing him until 2031. Fucking lmao.

3 years ago, Gundogan called him out for his reckless shit and this fool was too full of pride and ego to acknowledge it and played it off like a ego driven twat.

Maybe he could have listened and learned. But it’s too late now. His stock is zero and he’s broken as a player.

Should never play another match for this club again…

Mental health is not just a part of everyday life for society but sport & football as well. Naive to think anyone knows but him what he is going through and that should be respected, not ridiculed

I know and I said it, football is just a sport. If his state of mind is related to life events I apologize. But for some football game, if he has panic attacks should clearly retire from competition like Andy Roddick did in tennis.

Let's not put Araujo into the victim category of clinically depressed people that need treatment. I ridicule this, because it's basically lost motivation case and nothing else. Araujo will not hang himself because Devils criticised him. BTW didn't Ferran admit to being depressed a year ago for loss of confidence?

Would be beyond embarrassing for the club to strip him of captaincy when taking time off for mental health.

The club would be crucified from all corners and players most likely kick up absolute fuck.

Far far better ways to deal with it than damaging the club.

He should have owned up to the PSG mistake. If he did that, nobody would even care about this to be honest. Who cares we lost this game? PSG game was way more important.

I would hope thats not on the table.

Just give him the mental break and keep going. He is going to need to play again at some point. Its just unfortunate that he is this mentally weak.
