First of all, Grimaldo isn’t the most optimal fit for a 4-3-3 system — he’s more comfortable in a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 setup.
Secondly, I don’t know of any club that can afford to have two players of the same position and of the level of Balde and Grimaldo in the squad.

Similarly, Blade is almost a winger. And he is essential for us. Grimaldo will fit like a glove.
It doesn't concern us if we can afford it or not. I am skeptical of the reported 15-18m buyout clause. However, if the player is willing to come and compete, and we are eager to pay whatever his buyout is, I don't think there is any other player I would take over Grimaldo.

Totally wrong on the last one.
We need 2 players for each position, most should be close in terms of quality.

Look when Balde got injured for the most important games of the season, Flick was forced to play MArtin.
That should not happen again

Besides, they complement each other: Grimaldo is perfect for low blocks and buses, Balde is for the opponents that press

Real is trying to copy Barca? All offense no defense.. they have forgotten one thing. They have no good midfield for this strategy or the defense is meh at best. Defending especially.

They are going all attack because Barca did so well with Flick but Real is nothing like Barca as a team.

Courtois isn't a sweeper. Arnold can't defend to save his own life. Midfield is meh at best. Attack is lazy. Not enough pressing from Vini and Mbappe or even Rodrygo.

Way too many leaks.

It's so funny. They want to be Barca so bad. They know we play ten times more entertaining football.

According to Mundo Deportivo he has a clause in his contract that he can return to Spain for a fee of 15-20M next summer. Deco was interested in signing him during summer but we couldnt register him anyway

Truth
This is the one area I felt we didn't re-inforce adequately but as registration would've been an issue, may have been moot anyway

Ratiu preferred but Grimaldo would be great

One huge positive about Grimaldo is he could easily play as high up as Raphinha does. So in theory, against better sides, he could play alongside Balde, not solely instead of Balde.

Would help to make us more solid in the Champions League in particular, and help facilitate Raphinha's move to CAM.

And then there is his set piece ability, which is far superior to all of our players currently.
