Truth
Everytime I see it again, it still seems impossible - a knuckleball on top of it as the ball actually begins to dip as it brushes under the bar, xG is useless in this case

Yeah you're right, it was great. If he meant it, which looks like he did. Thanks for posting.
Hadn't really focused on the goal but watching that clip on repeat, and, that second touch is world class. Most modern players take that on the outside of the foot, approach the ball straight building speed, and then go for one of those Messi/Lamine curlers with the follow shot.
But look at what Rashy done here. Played it with the inside of the foot intentionally, and then instantly loops his run circle to come in facing the goal and blast it in with full power. It's beautifal.
I bolded intentionally btw, because when I was watching the goal unfocused I always thought it was a poor second touch.

It's a C Ronaldo strike technique. I definitely think he leant the technique from himThanks for posting.

He was scoring goals like that before Ronaldo joined him at United, to be fair. Unless by 'learnt' you mean by watching him at United first spell and Real Madrid and when Rashford was young etc. It's a C Ronaldo strike technique. I definitely think he leant the technique from him
Didi was a great player by all accounts. I knew of him before. I didn't know he 'invented' the technique, though. He was far from a diddy. It's called folha seca. Someone at Barca said Dani Alves was always talking about that technique.
Supposedly "invented" by Didi

He has stated Ronaldo was one of his idols. He watched his game and even played with him, so it's not surprising for Rashford to copy his idol trademark ball striking techniqueHe was scoring goals like that before Ronaldo joined him at United, to be fair.
