Trincao will potentially sell him for 3x (considering what Gyok went for). Now if they sell him for huge money later this window, then we pulled a clanger and got fucked.

But if they retain him this season then this benefits us more. We finally have enough to register Gerard Martini.

Siiiuuu.

What do you mean?

I see we loaned Trincao first to Wolves for 6m.
Then he was loaned to Sporting for 3m.
Then Sporting bought 50% of the player for 18m.

That's 27m already from 2 loans and sale of half the ownership to Sporting. If Sporting pays 11m for the rest of the 50%, then it's 38m. We bought him for 31.

How do you get 21m total from all those deals? We probably take in a small profit overall. Or should be at least.
I don't know, dude. Maybe I am wrong.
But I remembered it was around 10m when we sold him to Sporting. And FCBarca comments solidified it.

Deal is good so long as Sporting don't cash out in the next 15 days basically.

If they do, it will show how counter-productive current LaLiga is and how the league is running a sloppy shop.

Portuguese clubs knows how to scam buyers, Trincao isn't worth anything north of 20M as he still has same issues of speed and playing on slow motion without the rest of his game being elite to compensate for it. He is a squad depth in EPL at most.

The fact that they are likely selling him for more, speaks more about their ability to fool clubs into buying players, than our ability to sell.

It is the same as Nico Gonzalez, he is a 25M-30M player, whom they fooled City and sold him for 60M.

Good for them tbh, but it is nothing to look deeply into it and think we got screwed

True. Portuguese do know how to sell or make players look good.

Because that's their priority. They play football in a poor country with nearly non existent sponsoring. The only way for their topclubs to survive and be competitive in Europe is to sell players. They have based their entire club politics on finding talents, developing them into players with potential and sell them for a good amount. That's why Porto has hundreds of couts, which go to every village in South-America and watch every football match there to find talents they take to Europe to make money with. It's an assembly line at this point.
That's why Benfica has one of the best football academies in the world, because they use the money of the transfers to keep their school on the highest standard.

It makes no sense to compete in selling with these clubs, because that's simply not our priority. Our priority is to win titles, not to sell players, so obviously we won't ever be good at it.

Laporta should hire more portujews then. Although he already has Deco and he seems to be more skilled at vacations than selling.

Barca operates as a big rich club, who is located in Spain.
And it is a club that has a policy of keeping it's own talents as long as they can, until they are 100% sure they aren't working here.

It doesn't matter matter who we hire, we won't be like them, we aren't working as shop window like the Portuguese league, we won't sell our talents like Real Madrid is comfortable doing, and we don't have wealthy clubs in the league to take our rejects for good prices.

What is left is our rejects whom other broke clubs wants to get but can't afford to pay us anything.

This is why we work with Portuguese clubs, they operate as our "shop window" to showcase the players, they will get most of the profit for it, but we will get our money worth instead of scrabs.

It's just funny how they overprice their mediocre talents and big clubs fall for it every single time. It's like porkchop leagues is almost deliberately organized in a way to showcase all these new talents and then sell them to gullible parties afterwards ending up in perpetual loan and transfer cycle.
