Catalan media always lies about the salary before the transfer. Every player that ever joined us did it for a smaller wage that he had before according to them. We all know what's the truth about that.

I'll probably be even closer to 10 mil net at the end of the contract.

Fabrizio is the highest tier source and not Catalan media. Should be right.

De La Fuente will be able to field the Barca attack at WC next year...

-------------------Torres-------------------
Nico----Olmo/Fermin----Lamine

With Pedri behind. That's a massive advantage in terms of linkup. But we know he will play Morata.

I trust him much more than Catalans who report what the club wants them to report (so do Fabrizio to an extent but he's more belivable because he doesn't just depend on contacts from Barca).

I think he's salary will increase so they are all right in a way. It'll probably go from somewhere from 5 mil net to 10 years net during those 6 years if he really comes. It makes sense to structure contracts like that in our situation. Just finish CN before those big salaries kick in.

And I don't think DLF is smart enough to play Pedri in the double pivot. Too bad Lucho isn't the manager anymore, they would be flying under him.

Spain has the squad for being Champions in WC26 but DLF is my biggest concern. Well, don't care, would rather see another one for Messi anyway, Lamine can wait.

This is true, the chemistry angle in overrated. Some make it sound like they have a connection like Messi and Alves but in reality they rarely combine together except Yamal's long passes. The chemistry is more off the field as they seem great friends.

I would say Raphinha is a more suitable profile for Yamal's partner on the other wing than Nico (but that doesn't mean I don't want Nico).
Raphinha will play as much as nico on the wing. There will be minimum one injury on the wings. If rapha or lamine would got injured last season we wouldnt have made it until semifinal. I think rapha on the right and nico left can also be very good in terms lamine is injured or needs a break.
Nico is the best signing possible and it will get through, they will buy him, if they cannot register him they will loan him back to bilbao, maybe they can built in such a clause

Is this really a Barça transfer window? Are we actually making sensible moves? It feels too good to be true.
First, we bring in one of the most promising GKs, someone who might finally put an end to the terrorist. And now Nico?
All we need now is a solid LB/RB, then next summer we go big for a CF and we're stacked.

Not really news, Nico is begging to come it's clear since the minute he sent his agent to meet with Deco. The only question is, if we can manage the ffp.

60m release clause + 14m gross a season for 6 years makes around 24m ffp margin the club needs to register him.

Still worth it.

His salery is high but he is still pretty young.

We want have problems offloading him in case of being bad.

Fabrizio gets most of his informations from agents not clubs so those details could also be skewed sometimes. For all we know his base salary could be 6m and 2m in variables. Which is totaly fine.

But ofc Barca sources will say his salary is 6m while Fabrizio will report it's 8m. Both are actually correct but then it's up to the people who they believe more.

He's on 10m at Bilbao. It will be an increase from there. I'm guessing it will be 12m as per Barca sources and rising over the 6 year contract. Averaging out at near what Fabrizio is reporting over the 6 years

So, this is really happening.

Looks like it's Laporta who is behind this popular signing.

I am excited for having a new player but can't pretend we are signing someone who is world class. If I could pick, would rather we spent that money on a goalscoring machine (Gyokeres?) and use Fermin as backup LW.

On a positive side: Think Flick's risky system suits him more than classic positional Barca style.
