40mil for a backup would be okay if we can't find anyone better but I would rather find younger legs.

No way he is even a 50m player.
30-35m is good and reseasnable for him. And I wouldnt mind that in our stable financial year days.
But this year, when we desperatly need a bang for buck player there are much better options.
Lookman for slightly higher price, or Rashford on loan, or Puado who will be a free agent.

Out of the 7 seasons he has spent in Europe, he has managed to score more than 8 goals in a season only twice. One of them this season where stats are a bit elevated for all Liverpool players due to their dominance.
Out of the 7 seasons he has spent in Europe, he has never managed more than 5 assists.
This despite playing the majority of games ( His injury record is good ).
The numbers are eye watering in their mediocrity. But that's what Luiz Dias is ... Mediocre.
I am sure he will be the most criticised player in this forum if he comes here next season. ( Bar Ter Stegen obviously. )

He's never been a numbers guy, he's more of player to destabilized the opposition's defense, you can't just ignore him, sometimes you even have to send two players over to cover for him
