Would like to air out the squad in the upcoming games. Give Torre a start for example. But I don't think he'll rotate too much. Likes of Frenkie, Lewy, Busi, Balde, Pedri, Gavi probably going to start every game.

Because it was his fault the whole defense was injured against Inter and 4 key players against Madrid in Copa?
We lost many cup games with most of the team available too.

Take the good with the bad too. There can't be light without darkness.

Would like to say the core is set with Mats, Kounde, Araujo, Christensen, Balde, Frenkie, Pedri, Gavi, Dembele and Lewy, even if I don't think Gavi should belong there, but he does in Xavi's mind.

Last season there were a lot more question marks on how to play.
Backline didn't have as clear of a hierarchy of bench players & starters.
Frenkie was benched to fit Gavi Pedri Busi.
Raphinha and Dembele had to coexist together.

Now what we need is a Busi replacement, a LW and a RB if Kounde keeps bitching about not wanting to play there. But there should be a clearer plan next season compared to this one.

RB should be the priority. Ship out Eric and let Kounde be the #3 CB and the backup RB (minus the Vinicius special, when Big Ronald plays RB). That's the defense sorted. Hopefully we ship out the expensive hamster too.

After that, I think we need a hard working midfielder, who is prepared to do the dirty work. We saw that Frenkie can pass the fuck out of the ball lately, so he can cover Busquets' role in that department. So, a hard worker who is decent on the ball and in passing should be ok.

LW? I have absolutely no idea. Bit with Xavi preferring wild cards on the right, I think it should be a more defensive minded one, who can also beat a man 1 on 1.

Good to win the league.

That said, we've played horrid football for lengthy periods these season and have been atrocious in cup competitions.

"This is a team that have won the league at a time of change and financial crisis, working within a club with €1bn debt, building work at the Camp Nou about to force them into exile at Montjuïc, and with the Negreira case as a backdrop, all the noise that has surrounded them".

Nice little read by sid Lowe.

Read a couple of articles about the league win, almost all of them use a variation of those words to highlight how well the club has done to win the league, CONTEXT matters.

But Barca forum...
