What a quote

Xavi: "We didn't compete. I told the players that today is a new beginning, a turning point. We can't afford to be in the Europa League."

Xavi: "I am angry because this is our reality, and it pisses me off."

Xavi: "Europa League? We have to win it, win every game and title."
Lord Xavi is shellshocked

Unless we make signings in January, I don't see how we win it.. and I think we need defenseman, not just attackers. Today was perfect exactly how our midfield and defense is exposed with pure speed/quickness.

I mean nobody should be shocked at this point, we all knew the squad has huge flaws in advance to this game.

Team lacks basically everything, pick what you want. Like even technique isn't what it used to be for the most part, and let's not even start with speed, intensity, decision making etc.

The veterans aren't cutting it anymore, seeing Pique and Busquets nowadays is just tragic. But that doesn't automatically make the young players good, most are just average or still too young. We basically don't have a single reliable top class player in the 23-30 age range, not a single one. Frenkie is good, but he still doesn't have a leading role in midfield. Besides that? Ter Stegen who can't stop making stupid mistakes, always injured/out of form Dembele, failed Coutinho for the few people still remembering him, Depay who is alright for a free transfer but that's it...and that leaves us with basically just a bunch of talents in their 1st/2nd real season, some past-their-prime veterans who aren't world class any longer but still think they are and players like Roberto, Braithwaite, Luuk...

All of this goes back to the countless failed transfers of the last 5 years, most notably after Neymar left. Basically every big transfer since then failed and we wasted a comical amount of money in the process, and even all the smaller flops that could be sold again didn't get us anywhere when it comes to developing a team. To this day i still can't really process how we spent 400M on 3 players and all of them flopped spectacularly, that's just so crazy to think about. We could desperately need that money now, but either way the lack of a new grown team core would still be an issue even if we had more cash to waste now.

This team would need AT LEAST one experienced world class defender, midfielder and attacker right now to get back some structure short term. But that won't happen, so it'll take a while to form a proper team again.

We might have a shot in EL, if we get some momentum but realistically that's the current level.

Yes we have potential but put Pep or Klopp in charge of this group and not much is changing.

Just go through the 11 and calculate the average goals per season excluding pens of the whole squad. Thees no nobody who can score in there.

You cant get a woman pregnant if you are trying to put it in her ear.

Absolutely. There's nobody who can score. We have so many supporting players but no leading ones.

Well Xavi time to step up and become a decent manager. The players at this club haven’t had any consequences for poor performances for years. First thing he can do is drop the players who have repeatedly put these performances in.

Drop Mats, Pique, Lenglet and Busquets.

There’s no getting worse than this now. We’re out of ucl and 7th in the league. If we finish 12th instead but get rid of these old wankers then I’m all for it

Xavi isn't going to change the culture at all. The media said he would just like they always say with every manager but he is doing the same shit as Koeman and giving players who don't deserve it guaranteed starting spots where they can never be dropped.

He has no balls. He's afraid of the amigos just like Koeman and Setien. Drop all of them but Alba (as he is significantly better than the alternative).

I mean, has anyone seen any difference yet? They even use the same tactics. In easier matches bland possession 4-3-3 and in hard matches 5-3-2. Their starting lineups are almost identical. Same shit different face.

I think the next step is to throw out rest of the old guard and failed players from Barto era.

Coutinho, Dembele, Lenglet, Umtiti, Pique, Stegen, Alba, Busi, Roberto etc.

I know, we would probably suck before we can make signings but these guys need to leave, simple as that. Let Xavi build it up from the bottom up.

Make it real rebuild, instead of trying to win something with these bums. Not going to happen. I rather play players who can improve and make a statement in few years. That's the goal, to get us back to the top in few years, when the finances are better and the team is ready to collect those wins..

Should add de jong to the list. Hes young and all but he is also the only one who would get bought for real money.

Want to see him try out something new.

Pair Araujo and Eric for at least a few games.
Try Nico or Frenkie in Busi's place.

Would want to see Balde for Alba but I think Balde is much too raw compared to the other teenagers we have.

We should forget about Eruopa, better focus on making top 4, thats easier than winning europa and travelling to russia and what not

We have to start considering it. I was big fan of Frenkie, but if great offer comes, I am leaning towards selling. We have a lot of good midfield prospects coming up, that's one area of strength. We can sell him and improve offense or defense or heck maybe both!

For sure Aruajo and Eric should be starting all games from today.

Balde disaster defensively. Worse than Alba and he is bad too.
