El tankes goal against Chelsea was brilliant and he was an other good player killed by Barca. ( I think he cost more than 6.2)

Overmars was expensive but he played games and was very much a player that won us games. Anyone who seen him live at the stadium knows that you can rate him from TV pictures since the cameras cant follow his moving pattern.

I don't think its weird ibra is leading the poll. 1st most people here on the forum are relatively young and havent followed barca for a longer time and most likely just followed the games and not all the things around the team. 2nd Ibra wes here recently which always give you much more hype in polls no matter what you are rating or voting about. 3rd I think most people agree that Ibra is a good player but he wasnt used correctly by Pep and Barca and spending that much on a player without really scouting him before for your purpose is damn stupid but sure they got rid of Eto'o.

Gerard was a good player but his role and the players he had aorund him in Valencia was totally different than in barcelona. However this is something that was relatively hard to scout from Barcas side but im quite sure they wanted him for his offensive skills but in Valencia they had such a defensive tactics that he could move up and make those plays while in Barca he couldnt in the same way. Besides in Barca he got a lot of injuries

seasons 00/01 and 01/02 we went minus 100M € on the transfers that gave nothing more or less. horrible years but after that we had a couple of good seasons with first 02/03 season when we got mendieta, Riquelme and called up Valdes, Iniesta and Oleguer.

03/04 we got Ronaldinho, Davids, Quaresma, Marques and Van Bronkhorst.

04/05 was the year that the club made the best transfer season ever. These were the transfers that created Barca of today if you ask me.

The only negative thing about these transfers when we got good players in was that we didnt sell any players but let them go for free since we basically fired them all and we needed 10 people working day and night to try to get rid of Saviolas huge contract.

The one and only answer to this question is:
Txiki Begiristain

He's responsible for half of the names in this list, most of them proven to be disastrous. Maybe Laporta should be blamed too. But Txiki's ability to negotiate and run deals is definitely the reason for the calamitous transfer policy.

There is a saying in my shitty Bulgaria: It's not the one who takes the cake to be blamed, it's the one who gives it.

im surprised with all the Chyg votes considering that we sold him back for the same price we bought him.

Indeed it is. That´s where I got the figures in the poll.
There´s an English version as well.

nice sum of cash we got for yaya....one of the good transfer moves of the recent years of calamity as we bought him for like 9 mill and sold him for a lump sum of 30 mill :D seems like wasted money on badger so far this year :(

It's between Keirrison and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I voted Ibra.
