The thing is, we can create chances, it is just the mentality of the manager.

He tries to grind out results by getting crappy goals and riding luck on chances missed by opposition. Works against Cadiz but not likes of United.

That too.
But tonight we didn't create shit.

We barely competed in this tie.

Do people not realize how big of an issue that is? It's one thing to lose, but barely competing after all those signings is depressing. Don't let the scoreline deceive you.

I don't get why we see not advancing against United as a failure.
They have a hugely larger squad of averagely better players and a more experienced coach.
What was the expectation here? We are broke and they have spent billions the last 10 years.
On top of that we were missing 3 of our best players.
Get a grip. This fanbase is delusional.

First there was his team selection in the first leg. His passivity when opposition changes up things.
His lack of structure and team shape.

His subs or lack thereof.

His fucking whining and delusional attitude.

His arrogance and lack of experience....etc

The intensity, atmosphere, and pressure of a European night will ALWAYS be greater than domestic competitions. I don't think he has quite adjusted to how different these matches can be than the ones in Spain. With time, I hope he will learn.

We were plenty intense ourselves. Almost an even game in terms of big chances created.

We lacked pace up front. Raphinha had a bad game, and outside Dembele we don't have anyone that can dribble 1 vs 1. Balde was our best tonight, even if goals game on his side.

JohnN has a point, they have a very deep squad and experienced manager. Their bench players like Dalot, Garnacho, Antony could easily replace the likes of Kounde, Raphinha, and Ferran/Fati. Their coach also has a lot more experience at the highest stages. Let's not overlook these facts.

Needs to be shipped after this season. his record in Europe is absolutely trash. We have concede like 10-15 Goals alone in cl and Europe.

United have been rebuilding for a decade. They have 10 more, actually usable players, than us in their squad.
They have of plenty fast wingers, we only have Dembele who didn't play. We would have an advantage at midfield with Pedri and Gavi but both were missing. We played with Kessie and Bob. BOB. What did you expect?
Xavi is to blame for the first game, surely, but this one, there were no options. Who do you bring on? Fati? Ferran? No one can do nothing except our first 11. The rest are dogshit.

This season in Europe (All CL + EL games), we have not kept a SINGLE clean sheet.

Not a single one. 0 clean sheets out of 8 games. 16 goals conceded in those 8 games.

In Liga, 17 clean sheets out of 22 games and 7 goals conceded in those 22.

Will the usual suspects finally admit the quality of Liga teams is just fucking awful and they can't score to save their life? What's the excuse now that the full backline was fit?

A decent coach would get more out of his players period. We are not the greatest side, true, but besides Dembele who is the player that he has improved so far? N.O.N.E.

Xavi has spent 200m and bought a 34 yr old striker who has no pace and two wide players that are not the type to be a threat when left 1v1.

That is on him when the one pacey player goes down and Barca havs fuck all else when spend 150m+ on attacking players.

Fucking Auba was a bigger threat against better teams than this.

We scored three flukey goals and that's it. We were laughable today in attack.

Xavi is just lucky Madrid and Atletico are shit in LL this season, otherwise he would have been sacked already.

Ten Hag even said fuck it, subbed off defensive AWB and bought on attacking Dalot

Clear as day, you could add another 90mins on and unless we get a fluke/pen, we weren't scoring. Frontline is ABYSMAL.

Man UTD had attackers with pace and individual dribbling talent on the bench and we didn't. But our squad is better, even today's midfield was better than theirs.

The match did show how important physical forwards are though. ETH was petrified of the pace Balde had, and he caused them nightmares even if his end product lacked.

And that's just one player, and a fullback at that.
