The front 3 are nailed-on starters in this formation. Griezmann was benched only once in the very first match we tried a back 3 in this string of games, vs Sevilla I think. Trincao honestly would do fine in Griezmann's position in this 3-4-3 (obviously can't bench Messi due to his output), but the title race is on and Koeman doesn't rotate as much anymore. Trincao played in that right CAM position in a 3-4-3 at Braga. Koeman sees him as a RWB option because Roberto is injured, probably.

Depends, 3-4-3 can be used, it doesn't have to be 3-5-2 all the time. Depends on the opponent. When the opponent is not strong in midfield, putting in 1 attacker for 1 midfielder is a good option.
