Lethal in the final session, that hug though!
I seen that mate. But technically it's a different sportThere is a snooker thread, gent.![]()
Snooker
Ronnie takes a year out, straight into the final of the World Championship. What a guy.www.barcaforum.com
Yeah a lot is luck with how the balls end up scattered. But even at that, the pros are miles superior at clearing upI like this game but I think it depends a lot on luck
At least when it's two players of equal level playing.. A pro will smash any regular guy on pure skill though
As for Effren Reyes yeah I've always been fascinated by him. I don't know if there are many more such sports where the GOAT position is so clear and indisputable
(half joking)Yeah I am not denying snooker is the superior, tactical 'artistry' form of billiards. In fact that's why I like pool - I am better at it and can compete (never really played snooker but expect I'd be useless). I also find it fun to watch as it's faster and stuff, usually.I've played few times in my youth. I think i'm decent and geometrical/spatial understanding and had some good pots on that hunch alone, but never practiced. Obviously couldn't do the the strategic thinking without serious practice. It's a fun game. Would definitely want to try it some time again.
Still think this thread is redundant as snooker is basically superior form of billiard. Pool is for non-whites, no wonder the most prolific champion in that sport is some mexican guy.(half joking)
But if you want to get really monocle popping hardcore shit, get into russian pyramid or carambol. Pool is like billiard for amerimutts and lower classes to have simple pleasures in drinking joints. Those, who play pro snooker or any of these games, just wreck pool players, which is why there are hardly any "ecumenical" tournaments. There are levels to the cue ball knowledge.
Lol.Well, if i ever did any billiards at this age, pool would be obvious choice. I need them holes bigger and rules simpler lulz.
class man, really happy you love the game too. What you play? british or american? 8 or 9 ball?I grew up with a pool table from an early age, love pool. These days, only room for a competition level ping pong table in our home but whenever I see a pool table I am up for playing for hours
I’m naturally right handed but play pool left handed, not sure how/why that happened but then again I shoot hoops left handed as well
