Fabregas with FANTASTIC mentality, one that we need from our next coach

Managers who stick to their philosophy to the very end

Adapting to the game state is one thing, copying others and succumbing to the usual football philosophies is something different

This all comes down to the way you see football. Some see winning as the ultimate purpose of this sport. But it's not.

People have thought of the idea of collecting the best football maestros on a football pitch and paying them massive money, not because they would cheer and scream when they see the scoreline at the end is 1-0 and they have won a piece of metal that fans have nothing to do with, but because those players keep showing some great skills and tricks and make people happy by doing so

Attacking football is the true football, pure football. And I'm glad there are more managers in the modern game who understand it, and as a result we get to see more pure football, the essence of the game

Not entirely true. Pretty ironic that you say this in the Serie A thread. There's no right way to play the game. Attacking Football is more entertaining but again, there are several brands of attacking Football and things are subjective.

Klopp's Football is far better to watch than Pep's Football for entertainment but people like you would probably argue that Pep plays purer Football (whatever that means).

Herrera's Catenaccio was and is a brilliant philosophy in its own right and has had a lot of success historically. Hardly the wrong way............

I'd rather watch a fast, direct, incisive counter attack than a slow 30 pass buildup.

There is no doubt that all styles are equally valid but I'm saying that attacking football is the original brand

Nobody invented this game to watch 11 men sit back and hoof the ball. But as game progressed winning started meaning more than playing the game itself

Where do you stand on the Klopp style vs Pep style of play? 🤔

2 very different brands of modern attacking Football.

asking a Barca fan this question is pointless, of course pep

But unlike some of the posters I respect the german hard working style and I understand the need to use it right now that the quality of players we have in some positions is behind some of the top teams in Europe, while we have big financial problems and can't sign the replacements we need

Atalanta - Roma and Lazio - Napoli should be a couple of fun matches this round.

I can see Napoli winning the Scudetto again, but I would love Roma to pull a shocker.

Happy New Year!
