Hey Nuts, just to be clear: It was a dig at Liverpool, not at Arsenal or Cesc.

I don't think anyone can dispute him being the best Spanish player around in England.

Certainly midfielders, no one has been close to him this season.

As for other positions, you could probably make a case for Drogba, thats about it.

Cesc is on amazing form, no doubt but once that form goes ( which it will), would still consider him the best?

If Essien, Gerrrard, Lampard, Drogba, Rooney, Torres, Vidic...were all on form then they could perform at their job just as good, if not better than Francesc.

for shame.

he should be moving this summer to a top 6 team and playing there. not at racing again. his game needs to develop, not stay the same. and what bets that whenever he does get to madrid, he spends a year there before being offloaded to getafe?

that said, he is a signing, not a canterano, so maybe he'll be treated differently to all the other young spaniards at real?

Canales set for Real Madrid move?

Racing Santander starlet Sergio Canales has agreed to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to his agent

Canales, 18, has made a major impact for his club in recent weeks and, with his contract set to expire in the summer, he has been linked with a number of top European clubs including Chelsea and Manchester City.

However, Madrid were always considered favourites to sign Canales and the playmaker's father and agent has now said he is set to move to the Bernabeu.

"The decision was Sergio's and he thinks that Real offer the best option in a sporting sense," Angel Canales said.

Reports suggest Canales has agreed a five-year contract and that Racing could receive 6 million euros in compensation.
