I'm curious as to who people feel would be a more valuable signing.

(discount other election criteria for the purpose of this poll, obviously).

it shouldn't even be a contest

It has to be Villa, he will be giving us what we had last season, but have been solely missing so far this season

which is a LF, capable of both scoring goals and participating in our build up play, since henry's decline in form this season, our front three isn't what it use to be.

---Villa-----Ibra---Messi

Jesus Christ i have wet dreams just thinking about it, that's a sure 60 goals in the league from these guys alone. (20 each)

Villa and masch(don't really want him but it looks inevitable) in next season and we bring back botia.

and long will the dynasty continue

I think Villa, as Cesc is still young and there's plenty of time to buy him. Villa has to move now or never really. He'd also be a perfect role model for Bojan and would undoubtedly aid his development. Cesc coming slightly later would mean JDS and Thiago get more chances themselves, allowing them to hopefully progress nicely.

Cesc will come anyway in a few years but right now he is not the best option at all. LW is where we need to strengthen big time. However i dont think Villa is the right signing for that position.

It's not really about what either Presidential candidate promises. It all comes down to what Pep wants. Pep did want Villa last summer but El Guaje doesn't seem to figure in his plans anymore. He seems more interested in signing Cesc than anyone else for next season.
This is what 'll most likely happen the following summer....
LWF - Silva :) or Robinwho :((i still think pep 'll try signing him again.)
CM - Cesc or Yoann
DM - Gascherano :( (unless he breaks his leg from now & then)

Besides, I don't think Villa would be willing to join us to play as a LF...
And, wouldn't be surpised if he moves to Madrid or an EPL club while the fatty benzene moves to Man Utd after WC.

Yay!

And I think that LW spot is more needed than a spot at midfield, regardless of their age.

Plus Laporta two would leave the door open to Cruijff opposite to Sandro, right?

laporta II is cruising the poll, which is so interesting to me.

see, part of why I phrased it like I did was because, to me, laporta's continuation candidate can win a lot of votes simply by promising the right players. even though it's likely sandro will be a better presidential candidate, will he win votes promising cesc?

I mean obviously football isn't the only agenda for candidates but it is the biggest.

is cesc more highly coveted in catalunya than villa? I wouldn't know.

villa is easily the more desirable signing. and Z, yeah he'd join to play LF. it's not like we have a static attack, he'd get oodles of goalscoring chances. but I dunno if we'll sign him or, more pertinently, if valencia will sell.

I hope they do. I'd looooooooooooove to see villa in the blaugrana.

Interesting results , quite a statement for the voters...

Players decide the vote not the presidential candidate character ..
not so different from the Madrid elections than ..

Perez would walk all over the elections if he ever ran for the post

Not bothered on either. Yaya to stay campaign is my priority. Don't like Cesc and feel Villa will be that year too old to justify the money.. saying that his game isnt exclusively pace and he has avoided major injury as yet.. Maybe lean that way.

Villa will be to old to do the job, and will still be too expensive. Cesc is good, but I don`t want to see him in Barca next year. Maybe after 4 years, when Xavi starts to think about retirement.
