To me Xabi comes across as a gentleman overall. He is a Spain and RM legend and has some merit with unbeaten Leverkusen Bundesliga title. As a rookie coach he still needs to learn and improve but getting rid after half a season with spoiled players not willing to work for him only to replace him with Arbeloa?! Just wow.
Of course, I would bet Perez was clear on this. I doubt Arbeloa is entering with fresh ideas ready to revolutionize. Not that I think he is capable of it based on how he was as a footballer.

Looks like this was the final nail in the coffin. Xabi requested to form a guard of honor for us, Mbappe and Rodrygo refused. A public disobedience is unacceptable for a coach with a spine. And if we see that publicly, you can bet there is far more behind the scenes. Just shows, every coach is lost with these arrogant apes. They need another Ancelotti: "just go out and have fun" style and Flick will devour such a style again.
