Ancelotti commented that they have made/making the signings he wanted and recommended, so I don't think it is a case of getting Xabi's guys. Just that they came off of a LaLiga+CL season and probably thought that adding Mbappe would be enough this season while balancing the FFP (until new rules kick-in, thanks Theebs) for wholesale changes this summer.

The way we were under Xavi, Flicks impact and PSG turning into a top tier team after shitcanning Mbappe were not on their cards.

Don't believe this, he just accepted what uncle Flo gave him.

They are bringing back Nico Paz as well.

Fuck they are actually being smart this season.

In 2 years I see him being better than Bellingham.

Could also change his position and play him a bit deeper.

Huijsen is a good transfer for them because he can pass the ball and break lines unlike Rudiger and Asencio who are pretty poor with the ball.

If they get TAA and Carreras they will have a weak defence though because both are not really good at defending.

They still have low quality in the midfield , there is no way they can compete with us next year unless they recruit 2 good players , one to play in front of the defense and one creative mind.

Also to quote this.

They sold 50% of Nico Paz transfer rights for 6 million.

They will buyback for 8m.

Outstanding business. And people (not you) said that our FFP issues and public declarations of Theebs on needing to sell and what have you, didn't effect our negotiating hand.
