City will pick up most likely... but if they dont could see Pep making an emotional decision and quiitting if thinks the rebuild has not panned out way envisioned.

The bigger question is, if City decline a bit to 'top four team' (not saying they will, but if) who replaces them in the power vacuum? Will Liverpool dominate? Can Arsenal get over their 'mess it up' DNA? Can Man United be resurgent?
Overall I do expect Man City to fight for titles for many years to come, but they have a lot of holes in their squad (as stated on Bluemoon) and they don't seem to be being as smart in the transfer market as they were in the past. Maybe there's more competition now or the obvious targets just aren't there.
Ait-Nouri, Cherki, Reijnders etc are all quality players, but they don't scream world-class and can dominate the PL for years like KDB, Gundogan, the Silvas, Toure did.
