The way it is calculated.

Thanks.

Btw is there an article that's goes into detail how we went from having a 97M spending limit to suddenly going in the negative after a couple of free signings ?

Seriously some people have absolutely no financial knowledge. Do you not understand how terrible this deal is? it would most definitely be better to offload players now than to take the deal in the long term. 40 fucking years @ 25%; considering how low it is compared to the EPL, you dont think it has room to grow and become a huge amount in the next 10 years let alone the next 40? fuck me you cunts are clueless fucks.

"We have to compete" or it will be the end of us. what a fucking retarded take.

United has been shit for 10 years plus and is still a juggernaut, you think not winning anything for a few years is going to see us go the AC Milan route? We just need to be good enough to get top 4 for a few seasons and after that we should be able to go back on our way as long as we play it smart, there's a bit too much football manager going on.

Deportivo and Valencia are pathetic examples and not comparable to Barcelona situation in any way whatsoever.

Barca have much bigger brand/income and will always be more desirable than those two.

Ignorance.

Nore have either of them been faced with 40 years of handicap to try and find alternatives to that now.

Do we have as much money as man utd to keep pumping money in year after after?.

Yep let's see all our best players as every one around us gets better because la Liga is so shit they will give us a top 4 spot.
Stupid shit shouldn't have to explain why.

In a perfect world we would find a magical unicorn that fixes all of this for us or we get bailed out like. Madrid back in the day.

While in the real world, hard decisions have to me made, when weighing all possible alternatives.

If anyone went back & gave Valencia/depor the choice between keeping their best players, finishing their stadium, competing at the level they had gotten use to or selling all their best players and the results of that being what they are. They choice would be a easy one.

Opportunity cost.

What are you going on about.. The Man Utd owners are taking money out the club.

Yep lets take a 40 year financial hit to make sure can compete at higher level for a few seasons.

Barca would not go down same route as Valencia or Deportivo absolute nonsense.

You dont even have a clue what you are talking about.

The CVC deal back then would have done none of that and Valencia continuted to spend big for years after that anyway.

What best players would have saved the future of Deportivo had they not sold them? Doubt you can name one. Luque? Aye that would have done it.

If anything that was their downfall.. chasing the financial side of it and not acting within their means for future of their club.

Barca are not remotely similar and scaling back to sell off some of the first team players now is better than handicapping club for 40 years if agree to give 25% of tv money away.

I agree signing the CVC deal looks short sighted "take the money now, later we'll figure it out". Problem is with current finances this 3-5 years rebuild thing might never happen when top players look for the exit in an underachieving club. In terms of underachieving the thing we witness at Man Utd, Arsenal and to give a local example - Valencia, who are in rebuild since the mid 00's, selling their best players to finance the Nou Mestalla stadium initially (after the 2007-2008 financial crisis), then bad management and ownership change, etc.

Valencia are not even comparable or anywhere near the size of Barca.

Man Utd and Arsenal are in EPL and neither struggle to attract players. Barca would bounce back quickly and to get to level at now isnt sime huge leap either.

Thank goodness we have people in charge of the club that understand basic economic concepts, selling Windows is never a smart idea to save Microsoft.

We will see how it all works out in the end.

Aye Laporta?

Better placed than likes of Reverter to make decisions who wanted to quit if they took CVC. Who then did quit due to differences on clubs approach to finances.

Try again.

What is 'all working out well in end'?

Bland cliches.

Ironically the downfall of those clubs were the uneven distributioks of the TV rights.

Have them on the deals Madrid and Barcelona were on and they would be top clubs still.

Those tv right benefits we have, is what we have given up 25% of.

can't be bother to argue with a bunch of people who have never ran a business or manage one in their entire lives.

That is part of it but they have also been horribly managed.

Atletico were getting similar tv deals probably 10-12 years ago and they have won league titles and European trophies in that time while building a stadium.

Neither can I.

Just you support Laporta and ignore what the real business folk have decided.

Laporta the top businesmann.. nice one.
