I am still a little confused on where he plays if he comes. Raph and Yamal don't get injured much (KNOCK ON WOOD). Is Flick trying to play some hybrid formation with Yamal/Raph as false 9/real 9?

I just don't think Nico is anywhere near close to Raph and Yamal of 24/25

I mean if one of the 3 can play in the center that's a double win.. no more Lewy. PSG (and Real) made playing a false 9 attractive again.

Otherwise it's just good depth and a gerat tactical option. Also wouldn't say he's overrated. 60m is what you pay for a young winger that has good upside, but is not worldclass yet (and may never be).

Real did not made it attractive. Qsg did

I think that's what we'll see a lot more of next season now matter which LF/LW we sign.

The odd man out might end up being Torres after a brilliant season.

But the tractor haters will be happy at least

None of the links about Europa works, can you share screen shot, especially if it shows total distance

In the Euro he ran 54.53KM in 494 minutes
That is 9.93 km per 90 minutes, not 7km
It is actually more than solid number for an attackers (midfielders are the ones that break 10km)
Yes, I made a serious mistake in my calculations.

It's hilarious how people here make out Bilbao are some sort of Leganes level, ultra defensive team in order to explain away his frankly pathetic goal contribution numbers.

The facts are that Bilbao are no different than any other upper 2nd tier club in La Liga. At home, against the vast majority of sides, Bilbao will be on the front foot, camped in the opposing half and with the majority of the ball possession.

Problem is, our guy here, is facing low blocks ( just like he will with us ) during those games and he is not very good at facing low blocks. Has nothing to do with Valverde. Nico has played with different managers before and his numbers were even worse, even under the attacking coach Marcelino.

Of course his numbers will improve here. But that's just because it's Flickball. Diaz, Leao and Rashford's numbers will all improve here, doesn't make me want to ever see them in a Barca shirt.

His numbers are slightly better in Europe, that is true. Well, I watched him in 3 games in the Europa last year and he was exclusively shit in all 3. Maybe I got unlucky, or maybe someone can tell me why he barely touched the ball against a Scottish team who played with 10 men for 75 minutes???

His best performances are playing for Spain. But international football is a completely different kettle of fish and buying players off their international performances almost exclusively ends badly.

The list of players who play better for their international team than club team is literally endless and even extends to goalkeeper like Dibu where you would think the difference would be negligible.

...............ter stegen
Kounde..Araujo...Cubarsi...Balde
..............casado....
De jong..........pedri......
Yamal...Raphinha...Nico
Could work. (Garcia for Ter Stegen though, and not Araujo)
Only problem is Raphihna is abyssmal when it comes to dribbling if he were to play as a false 9.
Hes a speedmerchant for counter attacks, he gets lost in in games we have alot of posession.
His aerial presence is nonexistant aswell.
I dont really want Lamine in middle either, his biggest strenth is on those cut-ins from the side.

I really want Nico to play for us.
He clearly fits the mold and plays VERY well with Lamine.
Hes also quite popular and will sell alot of shirts from a marketing perspective, much more than Raphinha.
If we got a really good striker next year it could be a new "MSN" in marketing.
