Pathetic stuff.

Used to have a massive respect for them. But there goes even that.

Edit: You know what would be a massive W.
Don't get Nico now, tell him that because of all this, he has to stay. Also, tell him if he comes for free in 2027, he will get a 25m salary.
Fuck them club. Use power move Fatporta. Show your balls.

They tried to stop Bayern taking Javi Martinez because they argued buyout clauses only applied in Spain. Didn't work.

Here they are arguing Barcelona can't sign Nico because of FFP, despite Nico depositing the BO bid. Obviously Barcelona play but the technicality leaves them without a cause. Now if Barcelona fail FFP after that, tough shit. Nothing to do with you, go find a Basque grandma in South America again. Cnuts.

There is most certainly some European equality law they're breaking by not employing players based on their birth place.

Let's summarize:

- Bilbao signed a contract with Nico. Both sides agreed on the content, which included an exit clause of 58 million euros.

- Barca agreed with Nico on a transfer and wants to pay this release clause.

- Bilbao gets mad about it because of several reasons: They feel Nico for €58m is a steal thanks to his national team performances. Because he wants to go to their direct rivals, which is always more painful to face him 3-4 times a season instead of leaving LaLiga, and for several other reasons including negreira, ffp noise (they are the prime example of good finances thanks to their transfer policiy) and last, but not least club intern politics to please hardcore members for the upcoming election.

- They know they have no legal option to prevent Barca paying the release clause, so they start to make much noise in every direction about Barca's ffp problems, which have nothing to do with paying the clause, only with registering the player, which is solely between LaLiga and Barca.

And exactly that reason makes it more pathetic. They have no legal ground, nor any reasons to talk about Barca's finances, and yet they still do.

They also met with LaLiga to discuss our finances.

When LaLiga should have just old them, paying BO and FFP are two separate issues and we are not at liberty to discuss another clubs finances with you.

Of course, being Spain, LaLiga entertained them and officially gave them minimal information- and unofficially told them all the gossip.
