And suddenly everyone feels happy for Newcastle, while trashing the likes of PSG and City for being oil clubs.

wtf are you talking about?

everyone is hoping they sign our flops. no one is actually happy that newcastle are being bought by sheikhs.

and they're being shat on everywhere besides newcastle.

The hate for Newcastle will come if they spend to ridiculous levels that impact top level of football.

Completely different situation to where PSG and City are at for last few years.

There are only so many world class players in the world, Newcastle will have to outbid PSG, City, United, Madrid etc for the best young talent. Either they pay top dollar like PSG have and overpay or they will struggle to get the best players in the world to compete for titles in the near future

They wont compete in near future until they qualify for CL anyway. Only so many good talents will come to the Prem to earn top dollar but not play in European comps. They'll be Aston Villa level in next 2-3 years at best and that's if things go smoothly

I agree. Breaking into the top 6 over the next 5 years will be tough. They are not going anywhere and are still gonna invest.

Not 'anywhere'.
They may be Europa team with 5-10 good but not world-class signings easy. But definitely going to need a coach that makes them overachieve with a squad not necessarily playing better football than the other rich sides to even start enticing younger talent to look at them. City had to start by buying Gareth Barry and Emmanuel Adebayor and got nowhere until 2011 when got into Europa and signed Aguero.

The summer that changed City was when Yaya, Silva and Aguero signed. The standard of City jumped up 2 or 3 levels and all of a sudden they were title contenders. Sir Alex started to worry about them then, calling them "the noisy neighbours".

By 'anywhere', I meant the current Top 6 are not going anywhere, they will continue to invest in good players, making it tough for Newcastle to break in.

Imagine the scenes if newcastle brings top notch manager and brings some of our deadweights/superstars under price and they start perform at the highest level. Lmao

True. As long as they spend reasonably, I doubt there's problem. (Other than political reasons).

The Manager/Coach is key. CL is not the issue today but avoiding relegation. One report stated Newcastle could spend 200m without affecting FFP. DM. January spending window will be interesting. They avoid relegation this season. But it will imho take 3-4 seasons to get near top 4 in PL. Even with an abundance of funding, there is no guarantee. However, the PL has gained a major player and the league has got more competitive.
It’s as if PSG has joined PL.
West Ham next?
