well that's your average abusive relationship.
the fact she had the audio running right before she got r*ped tells you it's not the first time this happened. This likely happened for longer parts of their relationship and she kept putting up with it and yet stayed and forgave him repeatedly, which is unbelievable to the rational mind. But then again this is exactly the same as in all those violent family stories where the abused man/woman for inexplicable reasons just can't walk away from their abusive partner. It seems contradictory to the fullest, but yet it's a proven psychological phenomen.
