He's EXTREMELY late to the party lol as he acknowledges. It's been obvious they're finished since way before lockdown.
It's getting tiring being so right about them and correctly predicting their failures all the time.
And - again - whoever keeps telling me they have 'good players who could finish top 6' and continues to pin all the blame on the coaches (though they definitely share a lot of responsibility) needs to fucking wake up. As recently as Christmas one or two on here were telling me they have better players and squad than Villa, which is total bollocks.
That guy makes a good point. He says cos he grew up watching them be the dominant force in English football there's a lot of that left over, so he still associates them with being a big club and team with good players. Almost like he thinks Dalot, Hojlund and other donkeys must be good players because they play for the 'great' Man United who have always been a big club. I have made this point before - people think these guys are much better than they are cos they play for Man United. If this entire squad was wearing Ipswich shirts I guarantee they'd be far less hyped. I am resistant to that thinking now but a lot aren't.
The likes of Brighton, Villa, Brentford, Newcastle, Chelsea have better players. People here mocked Forest and laughed at the league for them doing well this season, but look at their starting XI - half of them would get in the United team no problem. When you strip away the hype United players have and larger profiles, they get outperformed in head-to-head games by 'less famous' players all the time.
People judge footballers these days based on their media profile and how well-known they are. That's most true of this United team.
