Without the immediate cashflow, Barca wasn't able to pay even the current salaries and short term debt, which Bartomeu all pushed into Laporta's period, while ran the team down to EL level. And Laporta needed a competitive squad in order to keep generating income and be able to pay the debts.

Laporta inherited a train wreck, that would have rusted and rotten away without immediate cashflow and since we don't have a suger daddy, the only option was levers. Bartomeu even pushed the salaries of the amigos into Laporta's period, the club paid the last of them just this summer, 5 years after Bartomeu was kicked out of the club. Between Laporta's empty promises, these are also the facts.

I know he enjoys his life in Miami playing with old teammates but let's not kid ourselves how fucking generational it would be to see him in Barca jersey again and him actually being able to show he still has it after all these years meanwhile Ronaldo is forced to keep siiuuuing penalties in Sahara.

All we will get is a friendly against Inter Miami after the stadium is finished. Don’t know why he’s teasing us right after renewing his contract and while Laporta is still here. He will return, no doubt, but not as a player.

The idiots from Barca should shut up. He can come whenever he wants and needs no approval from anyone. And if any of those idiots in the board starts moaning about this he should be kept away from Camp Nou forever

As for Messi, a truly great gesture. This is his way of showing he still cares about the fans. And also his way of showing he gives no fuck about the board and wants to do nothing with them. I hope it can be solved and he comes back here for some time
