Hope he goes beyond the bullshit from Laporta and comes back to say goodbye to us. Promise him we'll lock Laporta in the basement for that day because so he won't try to be the center of attention again. It's really a shame Messi wouldn't get a proper goodbye because of some corrupt politician.

Laporta's fault was it to promise Messi could stay, since it clearly wasn't possible. He lied for politics. But the reason Messi couldn't stay was Bartomeu leading the club to bankruptcy.

Some would say debt was there before too and you can also blame COVID. All Laporta did is pawn Barca future for immediate cashflow. Future boards will pay for it all.
Having said all that I am not defending Bartomeu.

Both are incompetent so one being "worse" makes little difference.
