Lionel Messi - v7

I mean, it's plausible but what's the appeal in trying for a 2nd with PSG after a historic 1st?

He could pull a Kawhi.

Nasser gives him and his dad whatever they want: money, hookers, absences from matches to party, fly back to Brazil whenever he wants, etc. No other top club would accept that.

:lol: Thanks for reminding me not to pine for this guy in a Barca uniform again, despite his outrageous talent.

Messi is the clear best in history, no other player aside from Cristiano Ronaldo has performed at such a high level for so long. Maradona was finished at 33, Cruyff was playing in the USA so was Beckenbauer, improved medical science has played a part in prolonging careers but that still doesn't change the fact that these two players have dominated football more than any others have in history and of the two Messi is almost unanimosly considered the superior. Even now he is still the best player in the world.

And yet most analysts now consider him the GOAT.

He has the stats, the trophies, the talent (technical ability, vision, speed etc), the peak, durability and longevity.
And his combinations of those things is just better then any other player ever.

Its only Ronaldo-fanboys, some old people who favour Pele/Maradona and haters/people with agenda's here that think otherwise.

And if you have to compare him to another athlete from another sport its Gretzky.

Messi will never have legendary folklore better than Pele (3 world cups), heck, not even maradona. hence history will never consider him the GOAT unless he wins the WC

yes, he might be the better player, but he won't be remembered as the GOAT

Messi and his father apparently recently bought 2-3 apartments in the best zones of Milan, also very close to Inter headquarters.

Man... the team had to chip in as well... Messi carried us on the 18/19 CL season, same as the year before that... Don't blame him yet I doubt he'll win anything somewhere else.

There will be tax reasons behind that most likely.

The properties he bought were around 1m as well... Messi is not moving his family to a place like that.

Most analysts, pundits have him as the GOAT nowadays.

Maybe someone like you who thinks Messi is responsible for the current state of Barca thinks otherwise but that is your problem.

Like who? Most analysts I've heard unanimously put him above CR7, but in GOAT discussions there will always be arguments when comparing him to Maradona and Pele. There are valid arguments that those two have better achievements than him.
