Absolute shit show from Xavi there , you go one up and retreat deeper as the game went on , zero tempo to even try to get a second. Clueless from the manager , you could see that coming the longer the second half went on.

Good for 70, bad for 20, and in the end that Haram mother f*cker summoned his inner Raul van Nistlerooy to be in the right place for a tap in.

Lewa has to be replaced soon and we have to get a real #9. We cannot be signing these aging formerly great players. They cost a lot and don't have much juice to squeeze.

Other than that this game went better than expected. Barca were not the favorites and the only goal we scored was off a major mistake. 2-2 or 1-1 in retrospect was a fair result because Real Madrid were terrible.

3 man backline worked pretty decently but if Barca wants to be all the way back we need to see what we look like with a healthy team. The "what if" game with injured players is so annoying with this club.

Few thoughts.

1) Xavi is a moron - He'll be going to either the Middle East or MLS after his time at Barca is done. No one in their right mind would hire him.
2) Xavi's subs cost us the game.
3) Romeu is possibly the worst midfielder ever. Disastrous signing.
4) I like Joao Felix, but he's a very limited player. Club should not buy him and should be trying to get some pace on the wings
5) Yamal isn't ready for this level yet, needs more time with Barca B with the occasional call up to the first team
6) Ter-Stegen is back to being trash (his standard) after his little purple patch last season

If you look at the timing of the subs, you can see how the match was lost. Lewa was atrocious and we lost the press from the frontline not to mention he was off the pace.

Then 5 or so minutes later we go concede and a few minutes after that Oriol comes on. Premeditated but not the needed the sub.

I think if Pep's in change considering the bench and injuries then he is probably keeping the starting 11 playing for as much time as possible. Then dependent on who is tired, bringing on Giui or Raphinha for Joao Felix or Ferran to maintain the intensity in the press.

The Bellingham goal was a sucker punch for sure, a fast pace ball that is not easy to stop, but one that Stegen probably saves 7 or 8 times out of 10. But what went on tactically either side of that was everything wrong and lacking in Charly Herb's arsenal.

This game made me realize how solid of a squad we have. Let Frenkie return and with fermin and gundo well dominate la liga.
