we need to get better .. we are horrible at keeping the ball , we do not do anything to get it back .. we lack intensity , and we lack focus .. we need to be intnse again like we were in 2015 . ref won us the game , he denied them a clear penalty and gave us a goal for free .. we can't keep going like that , any team that plays with intensity seem to put fear in us nowadays ..

That was a dangerous game and it's true we snatched victory in the nick of time but these guys were brutal. They did play with intensity but it also looked like they were raging on roids out there. With a quarter of the squad injured, if we get any more injuries, we might see them more doing guest appearances in General Hospital, The Night Shift & Code Black to get their thespian feet wet and once that's done, move to the Telenovela Primera Liga by trying to score with RUBI.

and once that happens, it's gonna be bye bye La Liga, ola La Bella

I have kinda mixed feelings about this game.
Barca could have decided the game in the first half, the second was partly awful. Even though the win was lucky overall it was nice to see that those brutal f-ckers got trashed and didn't get a penny for their unfair tacklings. I bet Pepe got a boner when he saw that.

What concerns me is the meltdown that occurred when we conceded 2 goals in quick succession. Within the space of 4 minutes, we went from 1-0 to 1-2. Against a team like Athletio we would have paid dearly. Lucho needs to sort that out asap.

Feels nice to have the refs shite decisions go our way for once, tho Valencia deserved at least 1 clear red.

We really needed this win. We cant afford to drop many points. Before we play Real on december 4 we have two easy home fixtures but als face Sevilla and Sociedad away. We could easily drop points in those games and be trailing 6/7 points going into el classico. Which is so important why we win. The end was very satisfying and the type of matches you need to become champions.

False. Great 1st half. 2nd half not so good. Deserved win.

Both halves were actually hit and misses ...
And we got lucky from horrible refereeing in some decisive situations.
Our first goal should not have been given and Umtiti was pretty lucky that ref did not give a penalty.

Interesting numbers from match at Mestalla:
  • Barça have not lost in any of their last eleven matchest at Mestalla, with seven draws and four wins.

  • Neymar made his 150th appearance for the club against Manchester City in midweek and, against Valencia, he played his 100th league game.

  • Diego Alves is now the goalkeeper who has conceded the most goals at the hands of Leo Messi, with 19. The Argentine has converted three out of the four spot kicks he has taken against the Brazilian penalty-saving master.

  • Barça made almost treble the number of completed passes than Valencia, with a balance of 560 compared to the home side’s 191. Javier Mascherano made the most with 83.

  • With his win, Barça become the side with the most league wins at Mestalla (33).

  • Mascherano made it appearance number 292, drawing level with DutchmanPhillip Cocu as the foreign player with the highest number of games in a Barça shirt. Dani Alves (391) and Messi (589) lead the way.

  • Munir scored his first official goal for Valencia against his parent club, for whom he has scored ten in 45 games.

  • Messi is the player to have scored the most goals against Valencia at Mestalla (8), followed by César (7), Di Stefano and Higuaín (6). He also put the most past Valencia in all competitions, with 22 compared to the legendary Zarra’s 20.

  • Samuel Umtiti recovered possession more times than anyone else (10), followed by Ivan Rakitic (9).

Valencia was also lucky with referee. Enzo and Suarez should have been red carded in the 1st 20 minutes.

yeah ref was inferior throughout the match but we were on the luckier side of his decisions.
Also because you mention cards, Busquets was also lucky not to get sent off.

Busi's goal was also a winning goal on stoppage time. Messi also got hit by a bottle and even got booked for it.

I saw that horendous incident with the bottle being thrown huddle of celebrating players . Sky didn't even mention it ..... surely there should be an investigation !?!!

It's Spain and it wasn't thrown to Penaldo or another RM player so nothing will happen.

Don't know what Neymar said to Enzo Perez at the end there, but it must have been something bad for him to get that mad.
