I get the feeling it's all wrapped up but Madrid want to make the announcement after the CL.

Makes sense - keeps the focus on CL for now, and if they lose the CL, well there's this news to shift the narrative to. If they win it, double bonanza.

Very good point.

If PSG are as desperate to keep him as the rumors says, i guess its fine if Perez don't want to play that game anymore, nobody is worth that money.

Hope he signs a long contract so we don't have to deal with this nonsense anymore.

Can't really see how it's 'fine'.
It would be fine if we'd had bought an additional player like Bernardo in the last window who might get another season to show how good they are.
But we don't because club has fixated on the next Galactico and shedding salaries to make room for it

If he doesn't sign, we're in for more coasting while hoping Fede, Cama and maybe likes of Rodrygo become central to our continued progress
Gnabry and Tchouameni would be nice substitute package, but far from ideal

Whoever said the transfer window is over if we don't get Mbappe?

Things can still be "fine", despite a big setback, strengthen other positions and hope Benzema has another good season in the bag.

Nobody

But there clearly is no plan B and things could turn sour quite quick
More pressure on Vini to perform and reproduce this season numbers as everyone knows it's gonna be 1-2 more years of wait
More pressure to get a stop-gap for RW or simply dump it all on back of Rodrygo who's fantastic moments guy, but yet to prove he can start consistently
More haphazard planning counting on Benzema being fit
More uncertainty how much unspent budget we actually get to play with and how much we need to set aside for the next time

You cant just handwave this away if doesnt come through. Barca might be some steps away from challenging for real, but there is no clear strategy on how we intend to grow as players we kept relying on get older

At the end of the day though, you just can't compete with the oil clubs when they really want something, they don't have real budgets they have to abide by.

If its about the money, Mbappe will stay, we pushed City for Haaland, but he likely would have gone there anyway, because they would always be able to offer him something more.

Who the fuck gives a fuck if he will end up in Madrid or stay in Paris. The money we are talking about is absurd. Same goes for Haaland. The world has gone mad and if history thought us anything is that titles are won by well balanced teams and not one player.

Fayza Lamari to @KoraPlusEG : "In Real Madrid's offer, we have full control over the image rights, and on the other hand, there is financial compensation. The two offers do not differ much between them, they are equal. ?

in the long term, it's Mbappe's sporting loss.

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world and they'll be back with a bang soon. Feels weird I'm saying this since they're current League champs and CL finalists but this isn't even close to their strongest level. That says it all about the club.

PSG is tinpot compared to RM in every way. Always will be.

PSG don't even have the managerial nous of a club like City who are a better sporting project.

PSG is like a lil shopping mall for players. They don't take it seriously. They just go there to chill and collect a big fat paycheck. Messi and Ramos are laughing. As are players like Wijnaldum and Herrera.

I still don't get it. So what he has full image rights at Madrid? How exactly does that hurt Madrid, money-wise? How much are we talking about?

And why doesn't want PSG offer him full image rights? PSG is not short of money, is it?
