Bartomeu should have kept his mouth shut and proceed with his private life, not public one. His legacy is "the man who bankrupt FC Barcelona". No matter how much he twists facts in that interview. During his 2014-2020 tenure as president we can aknowledge that infrastructure was improved, but the men's football department was ruined by every single transfer made in his era. Arda, Aleix Vidal, Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer, Umtiti, Digne, Cillesen, Coutinho, Dembele, Paulinho, Semedo, Yerry Mina, Malcom, Lenglet, Arthur, Arturo Vidal, Griezmann, Frenkie, Firpo and finally Pedri... those mentioned total 902m in transfer fee only. During those 6 years, actually 5 and half (Rosell was forced to step down, if I remember correctly) it was the old guard of Messi, Iniesta, Neymar, newly signed Rakitic & Suarez, Busi, Pique, Alba who were driving the club forward with little to no contribution by any of the new signings through the years.

Cancerous cretin who lied, cheated and generally subverted democratic processes of the club for personal gain - even making deals when he was not permitted to in 2017 election. The Bartogate alone demands incarceration but clearly he should be on the hook for the ruinous financial demise of the club. Nearly every bad thing that has happened at the club since Laporta ended his glorious tenure comes down to Rosell & Bartomeu that included a slanderous lawsuit claiming financial irregularities against Laporta that he was vindicated for & kicking Cruyff to the curb - it was symbolic because it stood in stark contrast to the heights of what Laporta accomplished.
Now put into the context of Grupo Godo and how they remain defended/protected and Laporta continually attacked - that is the toxic entorno of Barcelona that is the legacy
