How do you know? You know what was his plan with VIP seats?
Under Bartomeu, we only held a contest for the design, and published some renders. Not much different than the stage for the current new Old Trafford. Not even a brick was laid under Bartomeu. Based on the renders, the modifications Laporta's board made to the project are all essential and differential.
The big structural difference in terms of design, indeed, is the prioritization of Vip and VVip seating. Other than that, the design didn't suffer much changes. That I can agree with.
The actual implementation, which is by far the most complicated part, is all Laporta.
The other part that is true is that future boards will have to pay for it. But they will inherit a very healthy and strong club. Not a disaster.
Next President will receive a great car that looks and runs great, but one that requires top maintenance both in terms of needed skills and costs. So he'd better not fuck it up.
