Khaled theory sounds plausible, it's that or what I said in the nico chat, he wanted guarantees of instant registration we didn't give it and he knew he had leverage with bilbao and other offers on the table

We have closed the Nico door for life now. We entertained signing him this season because he seemed eager to join. Too bad he’s a coward and used us to suck more money out of Bilbao. Good luck with your trophyless endeavours bro.

As I said. Gaslighted.

But you’re coming around. Good.

You know, everyone on here than can read knows.

You want to shoot for another theory or you settling with this new one?.

He's staying in Spain, so I guess he's not afraid of Spanish defenses?
I wrote spanish defense too good for him under pretext of having gone off to bayern where with his profile he would have an easier time against defense.

Later found out all comments written up as if Bayern deal was done, was not done at all. My bad for not going on news site.

I also pointed out he would be facing more teams sitting back with Barca. He’s fast, but not that agile. He would be frustrating in those games.

My other mistake was believing as to this being done deal. I got fooled like rest of lot.
But questioning the details.

Certainly the door is closed but more importantly going forward is to understand what factors played into it. Was it Tebas/Liga & Athletic successfully putting pressure on player to walk it back or was Deco played from start?

You’re acting like Bilbao didn’t try everything possible to prevent Nico from going to Barça. They went as far as asking LaLiga to monitor Barcelona’s finances which has never been seen before from any club we tried to buy players from.

And why would that matter? La Liga didn't block the transfer.

Walk back and sign a 10 year contract? If a player is on the fence, they don't sign a 10 year contract and commit their entire career to the club they were on the fence about leaving.

Laporta and Deco were played from the start for fools by Williams and his agents so they could get a better contract with Bilbao. They should have done their due-diligence better.

LaLiga still didn't evaluate Barca's books for the new season, so I doubt it's the first one.
