Nothing tipped the scale.
He never was interested. He’s comfortable at Bilbao. I simply think he doesn’t feel ready and wants to develop first at club where he is undisputed starter. Even when not delivering. It’s a good life tbf, striking up millions in that fashion.
club loyalty(LOL), ffp, good salary, it’s all a distraction.
I don’t mind the transfer not going through.
But what doesn’t sit me with me is their entourage and media gaslighting barca and my barca brethren.

It can't be anything to do with how ready he feels, he can't go from being afraid of Spanish defenders which is why he wanted to move to Germany to, he doesn't think he's ready and now wants to face those Spanish defenders he was afraid of, but now with worse players than he would at Barca.

What's with all this saga then. We were clearly trying to solve his release clause, as evident by Deco and Athletic's statements. Why go through all this hassle if the player isn't interested from start. Don't think Nico would tell his agent to use us for his own personal gain, if he did he'd also fuck over his Spanish friends at Barca.

It's been evident since the start of last season that this team needs fullback depth and a left winger as critical needs in the team.

If he is truly THAT player, he will be picked up by a bigger club.
He’s playing it safe. As safe as the multitude of backpasses from the wing. But not purely cause of FFP. That is what entourage wants you to believe.
I just find it hard to believe that Barca couldn’t convince you that you would play as our ONLY signing when our financial situation was worse last season. Isn’t Ansu going on loan? Are we paying all of his salary or what?

Barca wouldn't show interest unless Nico himself showed it too. Remember rumours were dead for whole season until a week or so ago.
I just find it odd, how would Barca players react when they read all this in the news
