Jan Virgili

Flick has seen Roony and Dro in training. Jan game must have not been ready compared to them.

Nothing much more to it really.

Knowing when to release the ball and when to dribble is an art.

Also doesn't help that he's undersized, compared to even these guys

Dro is taller than I thought, and still has 2 years of growth left and isn't doing proper weight training yet

Shane to hear it. Why not a loan then?Club should retain some control.
Confused by the rumours as well, unless player definitively wants to quit club obviously a loan is preferable

Very poor sports management oversight from the look of it but perhaps being made cut from the Asia tour was not wise

It's not a big issue. He is not ready for the first team but he has surpassed the 4th division last term and is better to go out on loan with a buyback. Think Nico Paz.

B team won friendly versus Olot yesterday btw. Virgili with goal and assist I believe.

Guys like Shane Kluivert played who is yet another talent backlogged because of our vast attacking quality.

Really hope we loan hin out to or sell with a buy-back tilted heavily in our favor.
I see something a little bit special in this kid, but he wouldn't be the first promising talent to not make it...

Neither DRO or Rooney is a left winger with speed which is where Barca lacks depth at.

Rashford could turn out to be anything.

Barca is already saturated with midfielders and right wingers.

Almeria interested too, I think Segunda fits his current level better.

While the Mallorcan club's deal remains stalled, Almería remains in the waiting game. A few weeks ago, they expressed their strong desire to sign Jan to Virgili's entourage. Rubi (also from Vilassar, like the youngster) communicated this directly to him. According to SPORT, the offer is worth three million for 50% of the transfer and a six-year contract. There's cash and strong interest in Jan at the Mediterranean Games.

He put on a performance in the final. Surely he deserves a chance. If not that, just loan him for a season.

Seems a sale with a sell on clause is the probable outcome since languishing in the 4th division shouldn't be an option for this talented attacker

Shame but Flick saw something in player that says he isn't ready yet for 1st team - attitude/personality? Because his quality is clearly there

My guess would be undersized and too individualistic. Even in Maracana, there were chances where he should have squared it to teammate rather than dribble.

Club wants 4m + buyback clause. Probably because of FFP income needed more than anything. Otherwise a LaLiga1 or 2 loan would suffice.

Definitely needs to loan or sale, no good will come of him playing in the 4th division, no matter the case.

He will leave either way. Seems difference is 1m between offered/asking price. Soon enough one of the clubs will budge, possibly even Barca.

Some of the best midfielders AND players in the world are shorties if not midgets. past and present.

Barca are full of shorties who specialize in endless side passes and back passes.

And Virgili not ready ?
