Flick's tactical approach stands and falls with the team's legs. He demands 100% total football from the first second until the last. Only then we can roll over the opponent, as happened many times last season.
But if the team fails to run and press, fails to win the second balls, to stop opponnents passing, every professional team will have it easy to exploit the holes with dangerous through passes, that lead often to 1vs1 against the keeper.
This is not a tactical problem, because this tactic is intentional, but a physical one. The injured players must recover, the general muscle fatigue that plagues half the team must be healed. This will need time, so prepare for more weeks of difficult matches, maybe even a big clasico defeat too, because Mbappe will murder us with this bad pressing.
All correct, yet the reason for bad pressing/insufficient pressing is not fatigue.
We are in October still
It's complacency and laziness. Cubarsi admitted it after Sevilla debacle..
