True, but Deco believes in Flick and working with him. Abidal, OTOH, hated that EV wasn't his choice and has done the opposite of everything EV wanted out of spite.

Abidal was literally the worst SD we had in this century, and yet he probably the one that got the least hate overall.

Not comparing EV or Flick, the later is better, but it is kind of valid comparison that in both cases fans wanted more because of the previous year they had.

To a lesser extent it happened with Xavi, too. For both Spaniards leaving after second year would have been the best way.
EV had a fantastic team which won the treble not long befor he joined. Flick team he inherited went trophyless the season before, destroyed for 10 seasons in a row in Europe, even in UEL. In summer he got a useless glass built femboy. And immediately delivered. In this aspect it is not comparable

That is an absolute nonsense, my man. You lose me mentioning the treble season that was 3 years prior and had several starter leaving and others almost finished.

The team that EV inherited had almost nothing to do with the treble winning team.

Only Ter terrorist and Alva were under the age of 29 from the treble team that was still there. With almost no WC replacement in any position.

Before the season started, everyone had Real winning La Liga and Barca winning nothing, just as it was in summer of 2024 with Barca.

It is different for me. There were quality players in that EV side, that with some proper moves, including from EV... winning more should have been achieved.

EV was soft as hell. Good tactically overall, but he really lacked the edge to push things. He avoided any type of conflict like the plague.

There was a managerial problem as well at the time. Some of the hate was exaggerated, and I tie this to how we lost vs Roma and Liverpool more than anything else... but you can't tell me that side couldn't have done better under a more skilled manager. Seriously, there's no way that Liverpool match who defined the EV tenure can't be put down on the manager. And say losing 4-0 vs an injury ridden Liverpool was best that could have been done at the time.

Bro you can never not blame it entirely on Valverde. The players had some blame but Valverde exacerbated the negatives they had and made them complacent and lazy. Thus the reason we got raped by Roma and the further humiliation by Liverpool was due to not learning his mistakes done in Roma.

You can easily blame Bartomeu the most. Idiot had us as biggest spenders in the world and brought only players that didn't fit or flops.

EV was lucky he got sacked when he did. Otherwise he would not only be remembered for those epic bottle jobs against Roma and Liverpool, but also for the Bayern debacle. Only Barto and Ter Rorist are in front of him in the race for the biggest scum.
