Flick's tactical approach stands and falls with the team's legs. He demands 100% total football from the first second until the last. Only then we can roll over the opponent, as happened many times last season.
But if the team fails to run and press, fails to win the second balls, to stop opponnents passing, every professional team will have it easy to exploit the holes with dangerous through passes, that lead often to 1vs1 against the keeper.

This is not a tactical problem, because this tactic is intentional, but a physical one. The injured players must recover, the general muscle fatigue that plagues half the team must be healed. This will need time, so prepare for more weeks of difficult matches, maybe even a big clasico defeat too, because Mbappe will murder us with this bad pressing.

All correct, yet the reason for bad pressing/insufficient pressing is not fatigue.
We are in October still

It's complacency and laziness. Cubarsi admitted it after Sevilla debacle..

We were better defensively but up front was total chaos. Araujo was confused where to position himself, roaming from DM to CF area.

Still.. as said created the better chances including the goal after the fact from memory.

The goal and the Rashord chance created by Roony etc.

Is it not worse if they dont mention it as can be reviewed?

Sure this has been case in past whereas situations they see and mention are very difficult to then make more of.

6 game ban coming

he said he didnt mean the ref

The 60-year-old said after the match in the press conference:

“Frenkie was there, and I said: ‘Come on, Frenkie.’ It wasn’t directed at the referee. And I don’t know what the second yellow card was for. The celebration wasn’t aimed at anyone either. Maybe it was because of our game, our performance, that we won like that. I never attack anyone. It’s football, it’s emotions. I’m also not saying anything about the referee — it’s his decision, and I have to accept it. The clapping wasn’t for him, but for my team, to motivate them. Maybe the yellow-red card even helped the team.”

That he won’t be allowed on the sideline at the Bernabéu is “not good. Normally, I always want to be available for the team.”

”It was a fantastic match. It’s very important to see how we earned the three points for the future. This gives us confidence, and I’m very happy for the team,” he told reporters.

”We created a lot of chances, but if we’re honest, Girona created a lot in the first half. The next few games are very important for us, and we need Pedri to be fresh; he’s incredibly important for the team. We have to manage the minutes of players like that, including Lamine.

”I’m very happy for Araujo. His attitude always plays, what he gives to this club and this team. He can play in that position at certain times. I asked him before he came on if he could play there and he said yes.”

It is important to win the games while our most important players are back. Raphinha alone is the difference between top pressing and shite pressing.
