I don't think the team looked tired vs Inter. That was not the problem imo. And injuries can happen at any time. I thought he is overplaying Yamal, but Yamal played his best football this season in April and May.

I think the issue was of pragmatism and maturity from Flick and some players and squad deficiencies. Both led to the Inter loss.

CL is very luck depedent, sadly.

Guys, just imagine Barca drew PSG in the first KO stage this year, we might have been out before it even begun.

Also, there is no guarantee had we got into the final we would've been able to beat PSG considering how impressive they looked vs. LFC for instance.

CL is very complicated to win, we all know this.
Imo, we would have competed against PSG and we would have won likely. Because we have the most potent attacking force in the world, if it weren’t for simple details, we would’ve been talking about the final on Saturday.

Well yes this is definitely true which is why we need to hope for a great transfer window and support from Deco

Yeah but the financial issues have not been yet resolved, we can't splash money like others do and did year after year.

I also doubt Deco is right man for the right signings, wasn't he who bought the mighty brazilian striker Roque for instance instead of Alvarez?

Then why Inter ran more than Barca in the first leg when Barca obliterated both Madrid and Bayern in the span of just 4 days in great measure by running and pressing much more than their opponents?

Do you think Flick suddenly instructed his players to be so much more static than usual and run less while his style is so much running and pressing depedent?

Ofc the Inter failure was caused by many factors not only just fatigue and missing like 6 starters in the tie.

Individual blunders and bad luck where blatant, also Marciniak's refereeing which we all knew how it was going to unfold for the second leg.

But also Flick's inability to stop Inter from scoring literally whenever they needed it. I thought he would remedy this at least a bit for the second leg, but he didn't.

Teams have figured out ways to time the runs on the High line already this season but in most cases have failed to keep us out.

Flick's brand of football is very aggressive and we have seen time and time again other teams can score and Sit back but end up getting clobered because they cannot deal with the pressure.

Even though we lost the tie, Inter was a prime example of a strong defensive-minded unit first and foremost, and still conceded 6 goals in total in the tie and they couldn't handle us when they sat back.

It is not easy to play against Flick Barca despite the defensive issues. You score also, and look dangerous at times, but the amount of chances you concede is immense.

People focus on the chances we concede. Like vs Inter. But fail to see that the man of the tie for Inter was their keeper, and that Lamine Yamal had 3 shots off the post. Among many other missed chances.

Yes, they exist... but we're judging here the quality of football. What we need is fine tuning basically, but if you watch the games, we have been better than any side we faced this season. Including Inter.

Even with both fullbacks out, we went to San Siro and dropped 3 goals and 21 shots on them.

It took the goalpost and Sommer having a 9.5/10 day to keep us from scoring 5-6 at a legendary away stadium in a CL semi-final lol.

If he trains the defense up a bit and makes keep signings at CB and GK, we're winning the CL.

Lamine hit 18 goals and 25 assists this season. I predict he goes to 25 goals and same number of assists next season.

For me Flick isn't the issue. It's Deco and the lack of resources.
We need lb,lw,cb and gk. If you're looking at quality players that alone will cost a bare minimum of 150 million. I just hope we make some smart transfers this summer. Its crucial we reinforce the team and kick Ter Stegen out.
Having said that, this was a 9/10 season for me. Flick is a fantastic manager and I love his attitude. However, any top manager nowadays needs to work with something. No point getting a top formula 1 driver if you're going to give him an average car.
