Honestly, I liked how Inaki Peña played today with Bilbao. Overall, I believe he is much better than ter Steven who needs to be dropped as a starting GK. If money are not enough to get an excellent GK, Peña might be good enough.
What I would really like to see next season, Flopski to not be a starter anymore. Even he can score few tips in type of goals or easy ones, he is totally unreliable. In the 2nd half he had 2 cler and easy chances to score , 1 vs 1 with GK and he missed both. To me is clear that we cannot normally count on him at all.

I don't think the team looked tired vs Inter. That was not the problem imo. And injuries can happen at any time. I thought he is overplaying Yamal, but Yamal played his best football this season in April and May.

I think the issue was of pragmatism and maturity from Flick and some players and squad deficiencies. Both led to the Inter loss.

We simply lost because we lost Balde and Kounde. It's pretty simple in my eyes. Add Lewy to that list. They were able to get back those important players for the first match and drew with them.. that was the difference. Otherwise we would have been clearly the better team.

Unfortunate injuries. Same as Bayern.

Yamal played his best fooball during that time (partly because of his natural progression imo). But everyone else dropped a level.

Pedri was definitely fatigued. Kounde as well, his injury could have been avoided imo.

I think Inter ran more kilometers than us (not sure).

Wasn't the main factor though.

Lol I love how you get a dig in at Lewy in every post. My man.

Is Garcia gifted in some notable way in 1 vs 1 situation?
Not gifted as per se.
But from the matches and highlights I have seen for both, Garcia seems to get into those 1v1 situations a lot, and he comes out on top.
For Chevalier, I would say, 1v1 is not his strong suit.
Not saying Garcia is gifted, but the reels and matches I have seen, he seems to be better at it.

B and Juvenil players forming part of pre-season were all informed face to face according to Sport yesterday. Only one we know of is Jofre Torrents.

Expect more leaks of who is part of the pre-season in the coming days.

Yeah, the factors were, not in any particular order : fatigue, injuries, individual blunders, bad luck, Marciniak, inability to block Inter for scoring literally each time they needed it to, overall poor performance from some of our players.

I have no issue with the offeide trap. What I do have an issue with is our game management. Being at the halfway line with 3 minutes left and one goal advantage. Being 3 v 3 in minute 92 of a cl semi final. These aren't isolated instances - they happened TOO many times this season, it's just that we managed to outscore the opposition in many of the games.

If we concede due to a high line in minute 72 trying to get the game winning goal - I have no issues. But I see so called 'pundits' mixing the two and continuously blaming he 'high line' - when it's ridiculous game management from our players when we need some common sense. Flick didn't seem to be able to fix this even until the end of the season. I hope that's his main objective for next season.

Agreed, also playing offside trap in the halfway line is ridiculous. I mean do they not know the rules of offside?
