Don't trust any young Bundesliga product until they start doing it in big international games or the Champions League.

Yeah, Havertz was putting out these kind of highlights too back in bundesliga.

But if I were to choose between all the young bundesliga talents (bellingham, musiala, wirtz etc), I'd pick him. He looks like he has the right balance of flair and effectiveness.

Facts.

Gavi is out here putting in class performances in the biggest game in league football and playing a key part in his national team qualifying for the euros.

Wirtz is scoring some goals in the jokeman league.

Not much of a debate for real.

Gavi was not 'class' yesterday.

If that is 'class' I am sure Real will be happy with Barca serving that up again in future.

He was good in first half then vanished in 2nd as Real took control in middle of park and he was all over place for the two goals as were others.

Time will tell on Gavi v Wirtz.

Gavi playing 'Key' part in team that have struggled to top group v Scotland and he has been far from one of their best players anyway.

Nor visa versa too totally different types of players really.

But gavi was force to play in the AM positions last season, so a few here started to compare him to other AM talents.

When he showed his first season & this season, that's not his game, that's not why anyone who knows anything about football rates gavi so highly.

Gavi played AM as he wasnt going to start anywhere else last season. He was below Pedri and FDJ clearly.

Gavi played more or less left interior when in possession last season which is closer to his position coming through than where plays now.

Gavi came through as a 10 and played AM with freedom from left.

To make out he was 'class' yesterday v Real is a joke.

The role in a two deeper Gavi been playing more recently is further away from what he came through as a youngster.

Constant excusese... 'he was never an AM' is absolute nonsense.

Only watched Wirtz last season, but he is more comparable to Felix than Gavi tbh.
He was more of an attacker than midfielder, and he is surely more creative than anyone we have atm.

Put Gavi in the Harvest League under Xabi and he has 10 G/A.

Even Xavi Tortilla Simons has 3 goals and 6 assists for Leipzig.
