Laia Alexandri is returning home, great news.

FC Barcelona women's team will have a luxury addition next season in Laia Aleixandri. The Catalan defender, who turns 25 in August, will end her contract with Manchester City and join on a free transfer after the deal was finalized. She will sign a four-year contract, according to Sport on Monday.

Aleixandri will thus return to her former home after having played five seasons at Atlético de Madrid and three at Manchester City.

Laia arrives to bolster the defensive line and will bring experience and versatility to the Blaugrana team, as she can play naturally in the center of defense, on the wing, or further forward in the pivot.

Official now, she has signed until 2029. Welcome home, Laia.

Lot of work ahead to keep this team together.

If there are no sales this summer, Aleixandri will be the only signing for next season, as the club's priority is to renew key players whose contracts are up in a year, namely Alexia Putellas (who has an optional one more year), Mapi León, Claudia Pina, Salma Paralluelo, Cata Coll, Fridolina Rolfö, Ona Batlle, Caroline Graham, Jana Fernández, Ellie Roebuck and Bruna Vilamala.

Rolfo's contract rescinded. Fat bastard scrapping together the money so we can register the fourth GK, lol.

Elie Roebuck also going to Aston Villa. Could loan our shiny new signing to FCB Femeni when Thebes won't allow to register him.

Talking about the talents, here is another one.

FC Barcelona and player Emilka Szymczak have reached an agreement to extend her contract until 30 June 2029.

At the same time, FC Barcelona and Liverpool FC have agreed on the loan of the defender for the current season, until 30 June 2026.

She was highly rated when we signed her two years ago. Don't know how she developed in the B team but this should be a good move. Ofc Liverpool is not really that good in women's football (they've only finished 7th in the WSL last season) but hopefully she'll get minutes at good level playing against like of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City.

Liga F is done, NWSL just raised the minimum wage to 48.500 dollar and will further increase to 82.500 by 2030. Compare this to liga F that has a minimum wage of 22.500 euro and with several clubs struggling and even postponing to pay the player wages.

Even Barcelona and Real Madrid will not be able to match the wage hikes in both NWSL and the Super League. It was fun as long as it lasted but I don't see Barcelona being able to attract any quality players going forward unless they somehow manage to massively increase attendace when returning to Camp Nou.

This is why Uncle Flo should have got his dick hard over the women instead and push for the Euro Super League (without the UK). Implement there and then try and export to the men's.
