It's ironic how this generation is less hyped than previous ones but is the one that might yield the most 1st team players in a long time.

Tbf a very long way to go until we can consider them successful.

Of course and you never know what'll happen, but so far Ansu, Ilaix, Nico look/are certain to be a part of the 1st team next season, either as full-time members in Ilaix's case or in some other capacity in Nico's case. That's very promising. Then you have guys like Balde who might get some minutes here and there depending on if we sign a LB or not.

It's a good start. Whether they'll succeed and be there for the long haul is another question.

Good game from Jose Marsa at RB, considering he is a left footed CB.

Only just turned 19 a month ago, will be an interesting CB when his train of passage comes after Comas and Mingo. Look forward to seeing him in his usual position in the Youth CL.

Araujo and Mingueza have already made the step up as well, albeit they're older. Pena or Tenas will likely be our second GK too.

Depends on your definition of "generation"
Collado and Illaix for example are 4 years apart age wise, for academy tough to consider them same generation.
The Fati/Illaix generation was hyped enough to be fair, although they came in time when La Masia wasn't getting same light.
The earlier one had some hype too, but for wrong players. Alena/Abel/Chumi/Cuenca/Miranda/Morey/Gomez etc were highly hyped players too.

Was thinking more about Ansu, Ilaix and Nico tbh.

Of the players you mentioned Abel Ruiz actually looks like a guy who could possibly play for a very good team in the future. Not too convinced by Morey and Cuenca. Alena and Miranda are only good for mid-table teams imo.

These guys are more naturally talented which gives them a better shot at making it.

Love how the English commentator is complaining about them not kicking Real Madrid players like this

Well yeah I guess losing vs. kids hurts more when you're a 26 year old mediocre player trying to make it.
