F1

My first memory of F1 was watching probably as a 6 year old in 1992, my first hero, Nigel Mansell. I'm probably wrong about my childish memory then, but I was under the impression he overlapped almost all of the grid and I never found such footage. I loved the Williams colors back then, the Camel and Canon sponsorships blended so beautifully on that car.

Tbf I hated Michael Schumacher for all the dirty moves he did at Benetton and Ferrari in the 90s, I was a fan of Damon Hill. But then the silver McLaren Mercedes cars emerged and I became a huge fan of the humble Mika Hakkinen and ever since then I support the team.

Lost my interest in the sport in the 2010's with hybrid engines and Hamilton domination. But since COVID my interest has returned. I don't want to see one team domination and wish especially Ferrari step up their game, not be this meme for eternity.

Now that Audi entered the game with Sauber in 2026, I also want Toyota to return and bring more in their Haas partnership.
Mansell was my first interest in F1 too but Schumacher was the exact reason I became a Ferrari fan and have suffered every fortnight since

I always liked Mikka Hakkinen though and those McLaren's were beautiful cars.

If a McLaren have to win then I hope Piastri absolutely rinses Lando and runs away with it.
He will. Piastri knows he has a great car so kind of let things unfold for him. Norris is desperate to prove he can beat Verstappen and therefore makes too many desperate attempts if he's not in the lead.

Piastri will take it this year, amazing driver and very good car. But I would still say, if everybody drives the exact same car Verstappen would take it - one of the best drivers I've seen.

Sounds like Ferrari are finally admitting to the press that they're completely cooked for this year, and there's reports they're not hitting the benchmarks for next year's engine either lol.

This retard Fred Vasseur greenlit the retarded design team to dramatically alter the design of their car for this season unlike any other team on the grid and surprise surprise it’s a shitstain.

Alpine might regret they signed Colapinto for 5 races. The car destruction from last season with Williams continues.
Weird timing really as Doohan was just starting to look a bit more settled in the seat too. Colapinto signed based on popularity more than anything else because he bins it every other race weekend.

I don't know who's backing Doohan. I remember his father, Mick Doohan back in the 90s when I was watching MotoGP.

As for Colapinto, outside his charisma and Senna likeness, his sponsors are one of the richest men in Argentina.

I find this sad to check a driver's background, who's who. Gone are the days of Kimi Raikkonen, Alonso and Hamilton, the blue-collar drivers.

The mandatory two-stop didn't make it any better.

Need smaller cars to make Monaco somewhat interesting.

The mandatory rule made this Monaco race one of the worst ever. 0% racing, only strategy and finding space to pull ahead of the backmarkers to pit comfortably. Williams and Racing Bulls did that and the whole race turned into a 2 hour car parade.

Alternative layouts in some parts or removing Nouvelle Chicane (after the tunnel) add DRS zones, but that is way too dangerous. Imagine Saudi Arabia with spectators and yachts all around. Monaco is absolute farce with those huge cars, they are 30-40% wider than cars used in the 60s, when Monaco was the crown jewel of motorsports. Liberty Media are not considering dropping the principality from the calendar, as it's great revenue still.
