I cannot imagine Ferrari switching to Mercedes engines for example. It's their curse to keep this Italian legacy going on.

And it's not about the engine. For example McLaren are using Mercedes engines, but still have been outperforming the main supplier team for a couple of years.

The issue for me lays in the car development area and there's no answer to that. Jean Todts and Ross Browns don't grow on trees.

Carlos Sainz was quite good for Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton so far doesn't provide anything different in that car.

Ferrari could have the fastest car, but it wouldn't matter much. They are fucking geniouses with finding and inventing new ways to fuck up the strategy. Charles Leclerc is a tortured soul at this point.

Would nice if Piastri managed to beat Verstappen today given the facts that he has the better car particularly on long runs and that he is now fighting for championship for the first time.

Nah Lando left it too late, maybe if it was a longer race.

Max showing he can get something extra out of a car that only very few are capable of

Leclerc was flying at the begining of the hards stint. He ate like 2 seconds out of Max's advantage. I was sure that Lando would get him around lap 45.

I have a feeling that Lando crumbles under pressure too much. And therefore Oscar will likely win the championship if the car power rankings stay the same.

Hamilton overtook Lando's McLaren in DRS areas, but never managed to build up any lead. The car is not fast enough and Lando for a second consecutive week proves he's not a risque taker, having chased Leclerc for dozen of laps before overtaking him at Bahrain.

Piastri on the other hand overtook Hamilton in the dusty part of the track. That's a mark of someone competitive and if Oscar wins the championship it'd be deserved.

McLaren didn't look quite as strong as I thought they would. Without the 5 second penalty I think Verstappen would've pipped it with the clean air.

Piastri definitely far more level headed to win a title. In fact he doesn't really seem happy, sad, stressed or arsed about anything

Kimi Raikkonen had his charisma being down to earth and humor, but Piastri is like a robot that lacks even that. No emotion whatsoever.
