Barcelona look for club who'd sign Douglas (25) on loan in January. Barcelona will pay salary, but penalty clause if he doesn't play. [ara]

I'm not even sure anybody would want to loan him even if we pay 100% of his salary.

We'll be penalized for benching this guy because he's not Barca B material. Signing him is actually serving to be a detriment to the club. Goddamn.

From what I understood, the club he's going to will have the obligation to give him certain amount of minutes. If not, Barca is going to receive a certain sum. As a trade-off, Barca will continue to pay Douglas' salary during the loan.

I'm assuming the club that signs him will pay a penalty if he doesn't play? It makes no sense otherwise.

Oh, I see. For some reason I interpreted that as the club was trying to loan him out in order to avoid a clause in his contract that'd penalize us for not using him.

Quite the injury he had, huh. I just don't believe it.

I think his shady transfer has been topped by the manner in which the club has handled him this season..."injured" in preseason for 2+ months, immediately "injured" in a copa game upon return for another 2+ months

Ehh I doubt the club would actually allow him to just act injured. They would look utterly pathetic for doing something like that. You'd be better off just benching the guy, because unfortunately he just doesn't cut it, than just turning the situation into some kind of Crackovia shit.

Yeah, it wasn't so long ago it looked like we'd have little options at right back for the first half of the season and he'd get some minutes. He's been unlucky with injuries in that regard, but we wouldn't of known how good Sergi is there if he wasn't so...*shrug*

This.

Blessing in disguise as funny as a Douglas injury may seem, it forced Lucho to covert Bob into a right back and the rest is history.

Douglas is injured so consistently with basically zero playing time that I don't believe for a second he's actually hurt.

Barcelona could consider a transfer of right back Douglas (25) in January. Didn't want to let him go last summer because of Fifa ban [sport]
