Talking about Nico in his interview to La Vanguardia was definitely a mistake.

I like him looking at younger talents like Cardoso, Bro Hansen and others. He also wanted Guler and Bergvall. So it's not like he isn't doing any scouting. @Barcaman

What we need right now however is a player with immediate impact. Our bet on a young LW talent will be Cardoso and our La Masia guys.

What Deco however cannot do is chase Luis Diaz and Rashford for weeks only for Liverpool and Man Utd to either reject every offer or in Utd's case demand 40m for Rashford to let him leave. So I'll be watching what he does closely now.

Your only three options cannot be Nico, Diaz and Rashford. He's reportedly not even made an approach for Leao or any other left-winger.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt given his work with young talents but if he’s caught with his pants down after publicly prioritising a LW… well, it’s just terrible optics.

His budget’s limited but we must bear in mind he’s not looking for an undisputed starter. A reliable backup or an aspiring starter should be within reach.
